Dominique Ophélie Martin. DO.O.M. The initials of the sulfurous Quebec born supermodel gave its name to the most notorious night club in North America.
Club Doom was built in 2005, following the tragic fire that destroyed Miss Martin's mannequins factory. A life changing event that also took the life of her dearly beloved sister and caused Dominique to be partially disfigured by a nasty burn, the face that launched a thousand perfume campaigns bounced back from this tragedy with her inimitable style.
Going on a buying frenzy on all available land in Old Montreal and the neighbouring Old Port, using the fortune she amassed being the muse of all the world's top designers, from Lagerfeld to Versace, Miss Martin began building the ultimate entertainment venue. With over a thousand rooms, from the most opulent to the most decadent, the club is literally a labyrinth of fun and hedonism.
The biggest night club in the world is a must-see attraction for all the world's elite, politicians, kings, oligarch and Hollywood celebrities. A veritable "passage obligé" when anybody who is anybody visits la Belle Province.
From the dance floor in the rotunda that oversees the city, to the old smugglers tunnels dating back to the early days of the colony in the basement of the club (rumoured to be haunted - sometimes long, ghastly wails can be heard on quiet nights!), whatever mood you are into can be accommodated at Club Doom.
With a wide selection of DJs from all over the planet vying for a spot at the trendy venue, you will find something you like in one of the many rooms, all decorated with a distinctive style and a taste that is just out of this world! It is literally a thousand nightclubs rolled into one!
Having overcome abject adversity, the Queen of the runways became the Grand Duchess of the Montreal nightlife!
Today, Club Doom stands above Old Montreal like a beacon of beauty, strength and resilience.
Just like the woman that made it see the light...
