Job Title: Medusa Operator
Reports To: Chief of Section
SUMMARY: Medusa Operators are delegated the authority for operational control by the Director of Operations.
Medusa Operators prepare and distribute domestic and international missions and analyze missions data in accordance with existing policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors the status of all planned missions and missions in progress;
Collects and disseminates information pertinent to the mission objectives;
Identifies, anticipates, and takes corrective action to minimize actual/potential delays due to weather, scheduling, operations, and maintenance issues;
Advises appropriate personnel of potential/actual delays and conditions affecting missions;
Coordinates with Mission Control to ensure the intended operation will be conducted safely and in accordance with desired objectives;
Ensures that missions limitations or restrictions are evaluated and complied with;
Determines suitable risk assessments;
Maintains a shift log for recording key data for all assigned missions;
Complies with all applicable federal/state regulations, unless assigned mission requires otherwise;
Wear specialized uniforms when at work;
Must be able to work as part of a close-knit team. Lone wolves need not apply;
Unwavering loyalty and commitment to missions is an absolute must;
Flexible moral code a plus;
Performs other related duties as requested.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Applicants must be prepared to work all shifts; including but not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable.
International experience preferred. Must have good working knowledge of world geography.
Must possess exceptional attention to detail and abstract problem solving capabilities.
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to convert between different units of measure.
