Like we said a few days ago, we are bombarded with cool Heroes of the North art in these early days of 2014! Here is an impressive Crimson piece by Cuban artist Luis Arturo!
As some of you may know, we have licensed some of our characters to SMcG Customs and Flirty Girl Collectibles for the fabrication of 12 inches, highly detailed collectible figurines. As far as we can tell, we are the first web series ever to have this honour. These very cool folks are currently hard at work on the Crimson and Hornet figurines which should see the light of day in early 2014. Here is a neat sneak peek at the work-in-progress for the Crimson boots. We cannot wait to see the final product. Can you?
We are happy to announce that Bianca Beauchamp who played the deadly assassin known as Crimson will be back for the second Season of the adventures of the Heroes of the North!
More casting announcements and confirmations in the days to come!
Our recent appearances at the Free Comic Book Day at L’Imaginaire in Quebec CIty and at the Ottawa Comicon made a number on our comic book reserves!
We regret to inform you that the Limited Edition Crimson: Dark Origins and Madame Doom: Dark Origins (including Black Terror) comics are officially sold out and out of print.
The only ways available at the moment to read the Crimson story is through the website in the Comics section or by ordering the digital version.
Both Madame Doom and Black Terror stories are found in the Heroes of the North Omnibus, a few copies of which are still available through the store, they are also both readable in the comics section of the site or they can be ordered in the store as digital downloads.
We want to thank everyone who bought those comics and support the show!
Our figurines for the characters of Crimson (played by Bianca Beauchamp) and Fleur-de-Lys (played by Edith Labelle) are now officially sold out! We would like to thank everybody who got one. We have currently a few Canadian and Hornet figurines left and are imminently awaiting a fresh shipment of Nordik and 8 Ball, with several of the other characters figurines on their way, including Black Terror, Madame Doom and the Canadian Shield.
Well, it took a while but part three of the Heroes of the North Season One saga is now complete with the release today of Episode Fifteen: Wardrobe Malfunction.
It was one of the hardest episodes to complete for some reason, as several complications prevented us from releasing it when we wanted. But the important thing is, it’s HERE now.
This episodes sets various things in motion that will be resolved throughout Part IV: Medusa Rising next month. It is important to watch the episode all the way to the end, including after the usual logos, as it sets up events for episode sixteen and beyond.
This is one of the biggest episodes so far, over seven minutes in length, and featuring most of the main cast: Madame Doom, Crimson, Masquerade, Seymour and the Seymourettes, the New Felquists and an aggressive Zombot rounds up the villains side while 8 Ball, The Canadian and Fleur-de-Lys complete the Heroes side this time around.
Do not be shy to share on Facebook, rate or comment the episode! We love to hear what you think! As a matter of fact, you may even comment below!
This is the long awaited cover by Montreal Illustrator Donald Caron for the upcoming Crimson Comic book. It perfectly captures the lethal and raw nature of the character origins. Not to mention it has a very Frazetta feel. Another epic illustration for the books! You can also check it out in our artist Gallery.
On another front, our website is growing at an alarming rate and it has started to create issues for us in terms of file management and memory... So we have to go back, tweak some things, restructure others and so on. So expect a few disruptions in some areas for the coming few weeks.
One of the first major changes is that the comics section is now in HTML 5, hence readable on ipads and other flash adverse devices.
Thank you all for your outstanding patience!
We had to postpone the release of the episodes for a variety of reasons, in no particular order: sickness, website revamp, and the Canadian weather which has prevented us from shooting a few remaining scenes to complete the bulk of Season One. The weather is still not playing nice but it is coming to an end (hopefully!), so we will be able to resume shooting soon, the website revamp is almost finished and we are healthy again! So we are back on track and roaring to go!
For those who have not yet done so, we highly recommend reading the Crimson comic BEFORE watching the episode.
Episode 12 features Bianca Beauchamp as the deadly Crimson, an assassin for hire working for the duplicitous Masquerade (Pia Metni). However, Crimson and her wolf, Lupa, will find Nordik (Vanessa Blouin) on their path of destruction... Be ready for quite a fight on May 2nd! It will not only be limited to the ballots!
